Contentious Construction Partner - Bournemouth
A senior opportunity to lead and grow a thriving Construction Litigation practice within a well established, highly ranked regional law firm. The firm is a full service commercial practice with a strong reputation across the South Coast, recognised in the Legal 500 and Chambers, and known for its high quality work, partner led service and long standing client relationships.
The Role
You'll play a key role in shaping the future of the firm's Construction offering, working closely with two respected construction specialists and collaborating with colleagues across the wider Property Group.
The team is gaining real traction, advising on a broad range of contentious and non contentious construction matters. You'll help drive that momentum, bringing leadership, technical expertise and a commercial mindset.
Key aspects of the role include:
- Leading on complex construction disputes, adjudications, defect claims, payment issues and contractual risk.
- Working with developers, contractors, consultants and property clients across the region and beyond.
- Helping to develop and grow the practice, supported by a strong platform and a genuinely collaborative partnership.
- Contributing to the strategic direction of the team and mentoring junior lawyers.
- Building on an already strong reputation for pragmatic, commercially focused advice.
- This is a role for someone who wants influence, autonomy and the chance to help shape a growing specialist practice.
Candidate Requirements
You will be a senior construction disputes specialist who:
- Has extensive experience in contentious construction matters, ideally with some exposure to non contentious work.
- Brings a strong network and the confidence to help drive business development.
- Enjoys working collaboratively within a supportive partnership.
- Has the commercial awareness to deliver clear, strategic advice to a diverse client base.
- Wants to contribute to the long term growth of a practice with significant potential.
Why Join?
- Join a respected regional firm with top tier rankings and a strong commercial client base.
- Benefit from a supportive, modern partnership that values contribution, teamwork and long term success.
- Enjoy a platform that gives partners genuine autonomy to shape their practice.
- Work within a growing Construction team that has clear strategic focus and strong leadership.
- Be part of a culture that prioritises quality, collaboration and professional development.
