Our client is a well-established, Legal 500 recognised regional firm with a strong reputation and longstanding presence in the Exeter and wider South West market.

Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit a Commercial Property Solicitor or Legal Executive to join their highly regarded Real Estate team based in Exeter. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a collaborative and successful team with both regional strength and a growing national client base.

The Role
You will be advising a broad and high-quality client base including regional and national businesses, developers, banks and landowners on a wide range of commercial property matters.

Your caseload will include:

  • Buying and selling freehold commercial properties
  • Land acquisition and development work
  • Commercial leases and landlord & tenant matters
  • Secured lending transactions

You will play a key role in maintaining strong client relationships, supporting ongoing growth, and working closely with an established network of professionals including surveyors, accountants and lenders. There will also be the opportunity to contribute to business development initiatives and supervise more junior members of the team.

Candidate Requirements
The ideal candidate will:

  • Be a qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive (FCILEx) with 3+ years' PQE
  • Have solid experience and technical expertise across a broad range of commercial property matters
  • Be confident managing their own caseload independently
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills and a client-focused approach
  • Be comfortable working as part of a team whilst also using their own initiative
  • Have an interest in business development and building professional relationships
  • Ideally have some experience of supervising or supporting junior colleagues
