An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Solicitor or Legal Executive to take a senior role within a well established and rapidly expanding Wills, Probate and Estate Planning department. The firm has experienced exceptional growth in recent years, opening three new offices since 2022.

The department continues to evolve with forward thinking developments, including a dedicated onboarding role to enhance client experience and the firm's first SQE Trainee Solicitor joining the team. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior lawyer to make a real impact within a thriving, ambitious department.

The Role
In this senior position, you will:

  • Manage a wide range of Wills, Probate and Estate Planning matters, particularly for high net worth clients
  • Advise on trusts, tax planning and complex estate structures
  • Support the training and development of team members, trainees and apprentices
  • Provide technical guidance to colleagues alongside the Head of Department
  • Build and manage a busy caseload while strengthening the firm's trust and estate planning offering
  • Contribute to departmental strategy, objectives and overall team management


The Candidate
The ideal candidate will bring:

  • Excellent technical knowledge across Wills, Probate, LPAs, Trusts, Estates and tax planning
  • Strong experience advising high net worth clients on estate and tax planning matters (essential)
  • Existing market knowledge and professional contacts in Salisbury
  • Strong networking and business development skills, working closely with the Marketing team
  • A collaborative, team focused approach with enthusiasm for mentoring and developing others
  • STEP qualification or a commitment to obtaining it (desirable)
  • Ability to attend the office at least three days per week
