Our ED&I Strategy

Equality and inclusion for all

At Chadwick Nott, we are committed to developing a diverse and inclusive culture as well as supporting our large client network achieve the same.  We believe diverse, complimentary teams can deliver the best results in an ever-changing marketplace.

In the fiercely competitive world of law, we work with our clients to help them gain a competitive advantage by seeking out the very best lawyers, including growing areas of underrepresented talent in the legal profession.

Our EDI strategy promotes a company culture where everyone feels heard, valued and encouraged to contribute to the success of our business, regardless of their background or identity. Our employee’s ability to succeed is not determined by anything other than their talent, behaviour and performance. We work hard at making Chadwick Nott a business where all can thrive and enjoy their career.

Partnering and promoting ED&I

  • Back in 2021 we partnered with Rare, an organisation dedicated to increasing ethnic diversity in professions such as law, and put our name and commitment behind the following initiative: http://recruiter.racefairnesscommitment.com.

  • We have systems in place to track our success in promoting diversity in our recruitment activities and are continually working to improve reporting and develop action plans.

  • We advertise all our jobs on www.diversityjobsgroup.com/, a platform with 10 job boards dedicated to promoting Diversity, Equality & Inclusion in hiring practices. Their focus is to engage and attract talent from marginalised and underrepresented communities, providing companies with a broader choice of exceptional talent encouraging organisational growth through diverse choices.

  • We work hard with our clients suggesting and agreeing flexible working options for many of their roles in order to attract the best lawyer for every vacancy. Many of the roles we advertise include options of flexible working and part-time hours for the right person.

  • Training & development: All staff undertake regular training on diversity and inclusion topics including unconscious bias and inclusive communication to help and appreciate the difference among our staff and clients.
